Ask for the accessible cabin count for your sailing
Voyager-class ships carry in the region of 26 to 27 wheelchair-accessible staterooms among roughly 1,670 — but Mariner has been through two refits, and refits move cabins. Get the cabin number and its features in writing rather than relying on a deck plan you found online.
Getting around the ship
- 14 lifts, 14 passenger decks, nine with cabins — the same layout as Adventure, so if you've sailed one you know the other.
- The Royal Promenade is the spine of the ship: flat, wide, and full of seating.
- Shorter sailings are common from Florida, which means more port days in proportion — and port days are the tiring ones.
What the 2026 refurbishment means for you
- Newer surfaces and fittings throughout, which usually means better lighting and better bathrooms.
- But a refit is not a rebuild. The accessible cabins remain the size and shape they were built as — an updated ship is not the same as a modern accessible cabin.
- Confirm anything you read that predates March 2026, including deck plans.
The same logic as Adventure
Mid-size means less walking than a mega-ship while keeping 14 lifts and a full set of venues. If distance or queueing is what costs you, the Voyager ships deserve a look before the giants.
