The threshold is the thing to check
Edge-class ships brought the balcony inside with the Infinite Veranda, so there's nothing to step over. Solstice-class ships like Reflection have traditional step-out balconies with a sliding door and a sill. If crossing a threshold is difficult, that single detail may decide which Celebrity ship you sail — ask what the sill height is in the specific cabin.
What we can and can't tell you
- Celebrity publishes accessible stateroom details per ship, but the count for Reflection isn't consistently listed in public sources, so we're not going to invent a number. Ask Celebrity directly for the count and the cabin numbers on your sailing.
- The fleet-wide features do apply: corridors built for 180-degree wheelchair turns, automatic doors on most decks, and gradual inclines instead of steps into public rooms.
- Accessible cabin doors are at least 32 inches, and devices wider than that need a conversation with the Access Department first.
What she is built around
- The Lawn Club — real grass on the top deck, which is flat, quiet and unusual at sea.
- An older design, gently aged. Solstice ships are well liked and calm, with a more traditional layout than the Edge ships and no Magic Carpet.
- She's from 2012, so her accessible cabins were built to the standards of that era rather than today's.
Choosing between Reflection and the Edge ships
If the threshold at a balcony door is a problem, or you want the newest accessible bathroom design, Beyond or Apex will suit you better. If you prefer a calmer, more traditional ship and the step isn't an issue, Reflection is an easier week in other ways.

- Ask for the number of accessible staterooms and their cabin numbers on your sailing.
- Ask the sill height at the balcony door in the specific cabin.
- Ask whether your mobility device fits the 32-inch door, and contact the Access Department if it's wider.
- Submit the Guest Special Needs Form about 30 days before sailing.
